Hair Restoration: The All Important First Step
When it comes to hair restoration, the most important first step is to get your DHT levels under control. Unless you inhibit the DHT, it want matter much what growth stimulators or shampoos you use, because in the long run you will continue to generate more damage to your hair follicles. You may experience temporary new growth by using only a topical growth stimulator, but over the years the DHT damage will take its toll. I know that for some folks cost is an issue so if you can’t afford a combination of treatments, then I recommend that your first choice be to use a top quality oral DHT inhibitor such as the natural products Provillus, HLC Hair Sripts, Procerin (For Men) or the prescription alternative, Propecia. These represent your best approach to stopping your hair loss and even hair restoration. Again, timing is very important. If you are only a few years into hair loss then you may only need to use an oral DHT inhibitor. Advance stages of baldness may require a bigger budget initially to move your hair follicles back into production. Once your follicles are back in production you may be able to scale back some and use only the oral DHT inhibitors. Remember in the advance stages of male or Female pattern baldness your will not experience re-growth of all your hair. It simply has been too long. Hair follicles eventually die when exposed to DHT for too long. Once this has happened, you want be able to grow hair in those follicles. Any hair lost within the last 12 to 14 years is possible to grow back. Beyond that it becomes highly unlikely. At this point in your life; you must have the proper mindset regarding your hair. You can re-grow some hair and you can certainly retain what you have, but be realistic in your expectations and you want be disappointed. If you have let your male pattern baldness simply take its course for the last 20 to 30 years then you will not experience the same results as someone who has jumped on this problem early in life. You can still make a difference though. Retaining what you have is not bad. Some hair restoration is not bad either. If you are expecting it all to grow back, then I am sorry my friend that is not likely to happen. It simply has progressed too far.
