Should Thinning Hair Be Accepted As A Normal Aging Process?
I don't know about you, but I have a problem with just accepting thinning hair as a process of aging when I can do something about it. Losing hair to male or female pattern baldness is a degenerative process. It is truly a race against time. A process where cells are having to die due to an inherited sensitivity to DHT. (More info on DHT). A process where you start to look older real fast. This degenerative process is having an impact on a lot of people. Whether your male or female suffering from thinning hair, there's no need to feel alone. Thinning hair affects an estimated 40 million men and 25 million women in the United States. The emotional impact from hair loss can lead to anxiety, stress, depression, and lower self esteem. The process can be rapid or slow, it can stop and start, seemingly stabilize, and then begin again. Understanding it is the beginning of planning for the future in terms of how we treat it. Proper planning early in your life will have an optimum impact on your fight against thinning hair. With proper planning early in life and taking action on a set plan, you can keep most of your hair. If you are one who is now scratching your head and wandering where it all went, it is possible to stop your hair loss from getting worse and even grow some back. It will not be as easy as it would have been if you had started years ago. It will be more expensive to effectively treat hair loss for more advanced stages.
